Default '98 ranger tires?

Please bear with me as I don't know a whole lot about cars. I bought a '98 ranger used a couple years back. The tires are pretty worn out at this point and it's time to replace them. I looked and they are 265/75R15. This is apparently not the stock factory size for a '98 Ranger. My question is, do I have any options as far as getting a different size without replacing the wheels as well or should I go ahead and get the same size tires that are currently on it? It seems that the 265/75R15 tires are more pricey than smaller tires...
Alright, I checked the sticker on the door and it says 235/75/15. So does that mean that I could replace my current tires with 235/75/15's without a problem?
Ok, thank you. I found some Uniroyal Liberator A/T (108S) tires for a good price and from all accounts they are good budget tires. Anyway, what does the 108S mean? Also, the size are 235/75/15XL...what does that XL mean? I just want to make sure I don't get the wrong tires...

the 265's are the stock tire size on a 4x4 off road. double check it, but they are pretty popular tires.

Any size will work as long as they are by 15 in. Example you can get 235 75 15's for it which should be plenty big. That is stock tire size for an F150.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE "Uniroyal Liberator A/T" They are the worst tires I have ever owned. I purchased a set at wal-mart 2 years ago, I had to keep going back and having them re-balanced OVER and OVER... they always shake. Finally after two years Wal-Mart finally said they were defective and replaced them no charge, But SAME THING again. they shake like crazy. I finally removed them and went to Discount tire and replaced them with Michelin's ATX M&S twice the price but now my Excursion rides like a Cadillac. I sold my Uniroyal Liberator A/T on ebay......
