Default 1996 ranger in need of new/bigger tires

Hey guys, I recently got my grandpa's 96 ranger V6 4.0 extended cab for my first truck. Its time to get new tires, but i definently want to go bigger than the stock size tires. I want to upgrade to 15" rims and 30" tires, but I want to know how wide can my tires go. (without making any lifts.. besides a possible leveling lift) thanks
