Default tire pressure for 33" BFG

The BFG A/T KO tires on my Fx4 aren't the stock 31" size, but are 33" so i am wondering what tire pressure I should run? I have them at 30 psi which is recommended by Ford apparently, but that is definately too low. I was thinking of bumping it up to 35 psi.

should say on the sidewall what the NE pressure is. Whatever that pressure is, go 5-10 psi less.

I always thought 35 was the stock pressure for Rangers?

the only pressure listed on the tire is the maximum pressure, which is 50 psi; so around 40 psi would be ok?

it could be 35 psi, I might be remembering it wrong then. I remember filling them up to the number on the door jamb and the tires still looked low to me.

I usually run about 40, but that's because I haul stuff. 35 supposedly the best for tire wear, though....not sure how true that is.

i think jimmeh is right about 35 being the Ford recommended pressure, I might up it a couple psi, the tires just look low to me but maybe thats because im not used to these types of A/T tires

My BFG A/T read 50psi , I run 45psi
If you are doing alot of freeway driving ,I would run 5psi less than what the max reads

I run tires regardless of size so that the tread is flat across and around 1-1/2" of tread on the gread laterally. This way the tires wear even. On my 33 STT's I ran 28 in the front and 25 in the rear. On my 235's its 32 front and 30 rear

----------

Find some sand, wet the tires down and drive straight thru. A good way to do this is to dump some sand on your driveway about 5' long, drive thru get out and look at wear the sand is. If its light or is none on the sides, then decrease psi
