Default Mud Terrain Advice

im lookin for cheap but relaible mud terrains. maxxis bighorns ive seen are the cheapest ive seen yet, round 180 bucks. but are there even cheaper ones. and does the wheel width have any play into this. im gettin 33x12.5r15 tires

dunlop mud rovers are another good tire for the price. i think they are about 160 a piece from tirerack.com

I personally hate the dunlop mud rover, no side wall tread, and they are really really heavy. For me I would go look around for some local shops that have mastercraft tires or big o has a house brand too.

you are right about them being heavy thats why i took them off my truck but they do dang good in the mud. lol the mastercraft courser mt is another good tire in the mud

yup, there are a lot, and some good deals on them at tire shops, down by the bay area there is a shop selling 33s new for 550 installed. thats a killer deal, and in all reality if they dont last that long its not thaaaat much to buy another set in a few years!

Mastercraft Courser M/T's are a great choice IMO. I like them more than most other M/T's because they don't make very much noise (compared to most M/T's, still much louder than A/T's). They also have a fairly impressive tread life, 45-50k if you aren't too hard on them.

I paid about $200 apiece for 32x11.5's.

i aint tried those tires. ive only used bighorns. dont get me wrong, theyre awesome in the mud, but i just wanna try somethin new, ya know

there are mud kings that i saw for like 140 a piece. and my friends got them on his jeep and they do work

the bighorns got a lil. i may stick wiht those for now. it just that my dad and my bro have bighorns, so i want somethin differnt. i like tires that stand out

i never really liked the mud kings that much. i bought the 33x13.50 super swampers ltb's on my old toyota for 135 a piece. i dont know how much driving you do but i liked them for what i did. lol

ive seen some kumho venture mt's for like 191. they look good. ill go with those if i cant find atire thats cheaper and that has sidewall tread
