Default Pictures of 265/75/16 tires.....

....on a NON FX4 4wd truck. I've searched the threads, but the only pics of this size tire are on FTLB's truck from 2010. But his is an FX4 with flares and a factory lift.

That picture was just with the torsion bars cranked to level it out.

Hmm I thought the FX4 had cranked t-bars, fender flares and skid plates. As opposed to a SXT or XLT of the same year, standard height.

A Fx4 does sit higher because it has a 4wd suspension. a SXT and XLT 2wd are lower yes.
FX4 does not come with cranked torsion bars. They just sit higher with the different suspension. Same for the 2wd Edge they are higher then the 2wd XLT
They are essentially the same as a 4wd edge same suspension just missing the 4wd components.

LOL I think you and I are misunderstanding each other. What I'm asking is, does an FX4 Ranger sit higher than a SXT or XLT 4x4 of the same year?

What I'm trying to find out (and can't seem to get a clear answer anywhere on the internet) is, can I fit 265/75/16 tires on a non-lifted, non-TBar cranked, bone stock suspension 07 XLT SC 4x4 with zero ( that's 0 ) rubbing? Has anyone here done this? I'm planning on buying tires next week, but I don't want to be rubbing everytime I hit a bump or round a turn. No off-roading, the truck's my daily driver.

And no I'm not screwing with the suspension on this truck. Been there, done that and got the free t-shirt on previous IFS trucks. Went through ball joints and CV axles at an alarming rate. No thanks.

It seems with 75 series tires, you get a lot more choices. Instead of the puss ass mini-van P rated tires.

SXT is not a 4wd truck so yes it would sit higher. All the 4wd sit the same height.

I dont see why you can put them on a 4wd truck without touching the torsion bars. They sit higher by a few inches. I would say there would be no rubbing unless you did some hardcore offroading.
