Brent please make a signature listing your truck details, or at least provide them when you post a question. its hard to give you any info when we know nothing about your truck.

yes, much better! as far as the lift, im not familiar with the skyjacker kit, i wasnt aware they still made one for the 98+ rangers. the superlift kit i know is a good kit but i dont know if it fits your price range. what is your budget? unfortunately for us 98+ 4x4 guys our options are limited as far as suspension lifts go.

Superlift and Fabtech is the only 2 main companies that are making a lift for your truck, and both are over 1000 for the kit.

Dont get a bodly lift youll be fine with the 4 inch suspension and some 33's and if you really wanted you could throw 35's. Body lifts are just a waste of money to make your truck look bigger than it really is. You dont need the extra clearence go full suspension or nothing. And if you dont wanna spend alot go to advanced grab 3 inch blocks to put in between you axel and leafs which come with extension U-Bolts for the rear (30 bucks) and grab some ball joint spacers online and crank the shit out of your torsion bars. All for under 100 bucks (Redneck Lift all day!)

I was rolling 35's with a leveling kit and a 3" body lift. Anything less than a 6" lift is going to scrub bad. They'll scrub a little even with 6", but only on the corner of the bumper. I have the 4" Superlift, cheapest I found it was a #1370 online, everyone else is $1600-$1800. And Ford charged me $718 to put it on.
