Default Ticking, popping sound at low speeds when braking and first accelerating.

I just got new rotors and pads put on the front of my '96 Ranger. A couple of days later I am noticing a ticking or popping sound coming from the front right wheel after reaching a low speed while braking and also when accelerating from a stop. It goes away after gaining 5mph or so. It sounds like light tapping on a large tin can (about the best I can describe it) and doesn't seem to have a definite pattern, but I could be wrong. I will be taking it back in to have it looked at, but does anyone have any idea what this could be in the meantime? I'd like to go into the shop with a bit of knowledge under my belt. Thanks so much!
