Getting my 33x12.50x15 Goodyear DuraTracs !!

Ok So, I saved up the money, got my Black Cragar 15x10 rims. Bought 2 new from Summit. Got the other two, still new, never used, from Nitrofan1 (a FRF Member, THANKS MAN).

Took the rims to the Brownies Tire Service, the local Glenwood, MN Goodyear dealer.
He said he will have the tires in tomorrow and on the rims tomorrow evening.
I have a 1:00pm appointment Friday, to have the tires put on the truck and an alignment done.


I would also like to note, that when shopping for tires and service, shop around. There are two Goodyear places, one in Alexandria, MN about 15 miles from me, and one in Glenwood, MN, 8 miles away from me.
Both places gave me quotes for the tires, mounting/balancing, and valve stems, etc.
The Alexandria Goodyear (Plaza Tire) quoted me a total of $960
The Glenwood Goodyear (Brownies Service) quoted me a total of $847.

That's over $100 difference!! So SHOP AROUND, GET QUOTES!!

Ok so, I am so excited to get my new rims/tires on my truck!
I put in my 3" BL back in October, and have been saving up to get this done.

I feel a bit sorry for my fiancee, she's not going to get much for christmas, lol. Well hell, she got a wedding ring in November, I put $600 down for that ( a $2500 ring). So that set my tire/rim upgrade back!

Attached is a picture of my rims, sitting at the service place, still in the boxes.

Ok I got my 33 DuraTracs today!!! HOORRAYY!!!
I'm SO EXCITED!!!!

First of all, DAMN they are BIG/WIDE, and they Look FU*&ING AWESOME!!
I have seen other pics of rangers with them, but seeing them in person is totally different!!!

So before I took the truck to the tire place, I stopped by the self-serve car wash, and washed my truck up, and took some pictures and some measurements. (With my old 31 BFGs)

So here are the before and after pics.
Please note, the truck will look alot better with my rollbars come this summer.

It was getting dark as i got back to pick up the truck (dropped the truck off at 12:30, was given an old Ford Crown Vic LTD loaner car, picked the truck up at about 5pm, sunset).

I will take more pictures tomorrow!!

Also, anyone else who is running these, can you chime in with some info about speedo/odometer specs?

I hit the gravel pits and mudholes a few times in the summer, but spend most of my time off-roading on my Yamaha Raptor 660r.
For now this is mostly my daily driver, well winter driver, in the summer my daily driver is my motorcycle. The only time my truck really gets driven is when its hauling the quads to go camping/4wheeling, etc.

I have a 98 ranger 4x4 that i want to try to fix up for a normal commuter when i cant ride the motorcycle.

It helps that i live like 2 blocks from work, most days I walk to work.

If you do happen to take them out, let me know how they are in the mud. I've heard they're pretty good, for a hybrid tire. And yeah, that does help. Haha. Saves a lot of gas too lol

FWIW in the oct. snow we had i didnt have to use 4wd AT ALL...these tires with my L/S are awesome!

Yep I will try to remember to let you know, lol.
I'm so itching right now to find a muddy field, lol. but right now alot of the ground is freezing, getting ready for more snow. We had like 3 inches last week, but it slowly melted way, but its all freezing again. I can't wait to see how they are in the snow!! lol

Should be good, especially if you have the trac-lok rear axle. lol I can run in snow in 2wd with bald all terrains haha

Yeah, the explorer rims i have are 15x8, and the tires guy told me, yeah they would fit, but they would balloon out more, give you more lift, but would wear the tire badly and cut it's life span shorter. He said it would be better to go with 15x10s.
So i saved up the money, got the Cragar Black 15x10s first, then saved up more money for the tires.


Cragar Rims: 2 @ $69.99 (each) = $139.98 + S&H about = $151.00
Cragar Rims: 2 for $75.00 (total) + S&H about = $114.00
TOTAL FOR RIMS = $265

Tires, Mounting, Stems, Alignment Total : $935.00

GRAND TOTAL = $1200

Will be getting a 5th Cragar Rim and another 33 GY DuraTrac for a spare, will do a 5 tire rotation, hopefully after christmas.

Yep, hopefully after i get my wedding/honeymoon done, i can save up for a Suspension Lift!!! Will probably only do maybe a 3 or 4" suspension lift.
