I have a set on my 02 Super Crew, great tires so far, from the reviews I have seen online, they are a decent off road tire also, with the exception of severe mud...

if your gonna do much off roading i would spend the extra few bucks and get the brg AT cause the grabber is a 2 ply tire and prone to side wall penetrations. also if you just get a c load tire you might have some minor issues with tire bulge and squishyness if you haul anything overly heavy... but as far as tread life and traction goes they are great everyday/i refuse to drive through puddle tires

sorry i had to throw that in there.

I have them on my truck and they are great! They're smooth and quiet, they're cheaper then a BFG and loog just as good. General is a great brand, and right now General is out raping in the Baja scene with their Red letter General grabber, theyre supposed to be the shit. Anyways, I dont think you will be dissapointed. The sidewalls are thick as hell even if they arent 3 ply. If you are really worried, get a warranty on them. And I drive through puddles. Dont be fooled by the brand name gimmick, BFG is a good tire, but dont feel like everything else sucks because it doesnt have the name. Thats what the millions put into marketing is supposed to do. There is actually a review praising the General over the BFGs ( http://www.fourwheeler.com/techartic...est/index.html

). No matter which way you go, im sure youll be happy.

Oh the Generals are also set up for Snow studs too, you just have to get the studs and install them.

give me a day and i will tell you why not to get the grabbers. i punctured a hole in the tread and neither general ( the company) nor my tire shop wanted to fix/replace my tire.

I cant vouch for any other general tire, but the AT2 is a good tire. Ive driven them on some sharp rocks, desert debris, hit curbs a decent speeds (idiots dont know how to use a 2 lane turn-lane) theyre a good tire. Before the tires went on my truck i checked em out and the side wall and tread at pretty damn thick. Id need a hammer to put a nail through it.

Maybe the hole was not covered under warranty, it happens. tires arent invicible, and stuff happens.

tire had 15k miles on them. funny stuff is i drive through shit worse than that and had a nail in my new tires... held air, actually went all the way through and didnt loose any air pressure. but i hit a thumbtack ( was in the rim when i stopped) and it popped...

Id get the Gereneral before the BFG. My company runs both, and we'll take a General any day of the week over a BFG. I personally run Hankook DynaPro AT/M RF10's on my personal Ranger, and 33" DynaPro MT RT03's on my work truck. I go through eberything with both trucks and havent broken them yet.... Gripston.com
