Default BFG Tires: AT vs LT Is there a huge difference?

Anyone have experience with BFG Land Terrain tires? They came on the truck when I bought it and I was just curious about how much of a difference there is between them and BFG All Terrain.

I've read a little bit while researching and from what I understand the Land Terrains are about $30-$60 cheaper per tire (the savings seemed to vary on different sites) and have a little less "bite" then the AT's, but are still good. Someone else said that LT's may be a little quieter and have less wobble at higher speeds. Anyone know if any of this is true?

What about off-roading on Land Terrains? When summer hits I plan to do some light off roading to start out with so should I be looking at switching to All Terrains or will what I have be ok?

Eventually I plan to do a suspension lift with larger tires so when I do that will it make a huge difference if I get the Lt's or the At's? Since I am not a millionaire saving even $30 a tire sounds like a plan to me, but only if it worth it in the end. Performance is more important than price in that case.

I have never heard of the Land Terrains, but really for what you spend to get the BFG All Terrains they are well worth the money, they last a lot longer then they are warrantied to, are quiet and well behaved on the road from what I have seen. And they look good too!

I haven't heard of the land terrains before. I have the ATs and love their performance.

I say it depends on how much you drive it, if your doing like 90% or more on road and the wheeling is just rough diirt roads the less aggresive tire will be fine, will help a bit with gas and such and tire life. People under estimate the capabilities of a ranger and good driving skills. Just ask the guys from the last few ranger meets in california, my tires are about as bald as can be and I have taken it some gnarly places. I say if you commute a lot get the less aggressive. If you are gonna be pushing the limits of you truck when you wheel get the a/t.

Not to mention road noise from a more aggressive tire can be really annoying on a long commute and they won't last nearly as long on road as a less aggressive all terrain would.

Ok, but if you've never had an experience with these tires and don't really know anything about them how do you know they aren't just as good?

Don't I have to get a lift for larger tires, even though mine are already about 30.5 inch and that's not a huge difference...is it? Is there a specific brand when looking for "mudders".

Sorry I'm so new to all this guys!
