Anyone using balancing beads?
I heard about these a while back and since i'm buying new wheels and tires soon thought I would ask...
The only issue I see is that the regular ones they have (non-offroad) are very small and if there was condensation in the tire they would stick to the water and not move around. or just get stuck in the fine ribbing on the inside of the tire.
I looked on google for reviews and alot of people just add in BB's or Airsoft BB's instead of buying them from these two sites.

Re: Anyone using balancing beads?
Never heard of them. It might work but what is the cost compared to a standard wheel weight?

Really, these are bs for a rig of our size, if you are running 40's or bigger then they work awesome.

I have more of that tire size then I care to think about here at work. These beads are really ment for large vehicle tires, because you can't always use a traditional wheel weight to balance the tire, or it simply requires to much weight. In the vehicles that have this, they work great, but really it is cheaper and more cost effective on a Ranger to just have the tire company put the ugly ass weights on.

Re: Anyone using balancing beads?
you know you can static balance, which means no weights on the outside of the wheel, or you can have them put weights on the inside and tape weights behind the spokes, which works just as good as weights on the outside

Re: Anyone using balancing beads?
I considered using them for my winter rims and tires because I can change and mount my tires at home using my machine for bike tires but I can't balance truck tires. Didn't end up using them but didn't find to much negative about them.
As for them only working on big tires I'm not sure what that logic is based from but I race against a guy that uses them to balance his race bike and he swears by them. The front tire is only a 120/70-17

Maybe I'm wrong on their effectivness, but in my experience, they really are not worth it until you get into the bigger vehicle tires.
