Default Can alligment fix this PICS included

Bought the truck and noticed the front wheels where way off. they are sort of in this position / \ when the truck is on the ground however when i lifted the truck up from the ground to remove the wheels you can see they are positioned \ / you can see how uneven the wear is on the tires, so my question is im about to put knew tires on and am wondering if an alignment can fix this or not.

Your suspension is supposed to travel like that when its jacked up or under load, its physics. As for the uneven wear, yes your alignment is likely the culprit. Definitely get an alignment along with the new tires. The shop should give you a print out afterwords showing you just how far off each wheel was.

Yes it is normal for the tires to be \ / when the suspension is hanging. As for when weight on it and is like / \, you will either have to A) look at your cam bushings to see if they can be turned to bring them out. Or B) put in longer coils, or put in a leveling kit.

If the cam bushing has the thick part between the ball joint and wheel, it can be turned to bring the tire out. If the skinny part is between the joint and wheel then you will have to put in the leveling kit

----------

note: since you are 2wd you most likely can not turn the cam bushings.

It is also possible that your ball joints are shot. As far as the cam bushing, you can either get some from a 4wd or buy them from napa. factory spec ones are cheap. http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Res...+50028+2028044 You want to get one like the 3rd down

Looking at the tread wear, I would think possibly. If it is a toe problem. If it isn't, then new springs. I had similar wear on my CR-V before it got new springs due to spring sag (age).

grab the tire top and bottom and move in/out. If its sloppy ball joints are bad, this test could also indicate wheel bearings loose

From the way the tires are worn it looks like the cambers are off and an alignment should fix that
