Accident
Just recently came over a highway ramp hydroplaned did a hard 180 degrees and hit the curb going about 30. The rim itself has a slight bend in it but the wheel is wobbling like crazy. Using that wimp stock jack you cant even get the tire off the ground but it does straighten the wheel out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Re: Accident
I'm guessing he's asking how to get his tire off the ground. Either use a larger jack or take it to a shop and use a lift.

Re: Accident
My bad. Im not sure what is causing the problem. Is it just the axle being bent?

Re: Accident
Most like your wheel bearings were destroyed. Happened in a little fender bender I had too.

Re: Accident
Could it have just punctured the tire? The PSI is really low.

Re: Accident
It was fine before the accident and it lost almost 15PSI after impact. I don;t want to assume its just a hole, slap a new tire on there, and then find my tire wearing out. That wear on the left hand side of the tire is just from the few days I have had to drive it.

Re: Accident
If you jack the truck up and spin the wheel, does it wobble?

Re: Accident
id fill it back up. and take it easy for the next day. check pressure again. if its still full then move on and dont worry. if its low, you may have bent the rim or hurt the tire a little. possibly the tire lost its seal for a moment and let air out when you hit the curb? hard to tell but doesnt look like much wrong.
to be sure though try to get it jacked up and put your hands ono top and bottom of tire. push/pull back and forth, if its wobbles very much you'll want to get it checked out.

Re: Accident
do you think hitting the curb could have broke the seal on the rim a little and let the air out? idk

Re: Accident
It probably popped the bead a little bit off the rim which will cause a slow leak. You said it was bent a small amount, so that doesn't surprise me. I would jack up that side with a real jack and try to shake the tire up and down to see for sure if it's your wheel bearing, or just take it to a tire place.
