Default Winter RIMs for 2010 Ranger 4X4 Sport, 4.0 litre

I have recently been in the market to purchase winter RIMS for my 2010 Ranger Sport. I know the factory Rim size is 16 x 7", bolt pattern 5 x 4 1/2", bore centre 70.3 mm. I have found a set of steel rims that are practically new with only one minor difference from the original fit. The prospective rims are 16 x 6.5" vice 16 x 7". I have a gut feeling that it won't make a big difference but I would love to have some feedback to confirm it. The winter tires that will be fitted on the steel rims are a 255/70/R16. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dave

sounds like the setup will work just fine, the 6.5 is a little narrow so you may have to adjust your tire pressure to get proper contact patch but it will most certainly work.

Excellent. That's what I like to hear. They are BFGoodrich Winter slalom KSi 255/70/16 109S. A decent tire at an economy price.
