Default What tires for my 1995 Ranger? 14's.. Cheapest

Getting ready to buy tires for my Ranger and it seems to be a pretty big purchase/decision.

The best bet I've found so far is Walmart. $420 with tax, installed. I can do $370 installed with tax from Pepboys - but I've heard they've had a lot of recalls with that brand of tires.

The size is P225/70 R14. It seems to be a bit of an oddball size for a 14", which may explain the expense..

Is it possible to switch to a different size that would save me some money? According to tirerack, the Ranger also used sizes 195/70 R14, and 215/70 R14.

I don't know know much about wheels/tires, so I have no idea what sizes have to be used, etc.. I just want something fairly affordable so I can get rolling. Would I save enough by switching to a small size to be worth it? I believe it's around a $90 savings going to the 195s. Assuming they'll work correctly with my rims.

I appreciate any advice.
