Default Which rims to pick? suggestions????

hi i was thinking of some new wheels and tires for my ranger. The two styles i like are the newer alcoa style on the fx4 rangers and the old 91 bodystyle trucks with the aluminum rims.

and...

the tires i have are 235/75/r15's. the new tires id want to have would be about the same height and maybe wider. (the height of them now i think is 29/30" ish???)
would a 30x10.5x15 be a good tire?
any other rims that you think would look good? pics on my year ranger would be sweet

Thank you!!!

30s would be fine but 31s would be much nicer and you have more to select from.

If you go with alcoas you will have to take a Dremel to the front centercap and trim the lip down some to clear the front dustcap. here is what they look like on a 93

But who's silver ranger is that? Reason I'm asking is that it has the exact hood scoop I want for mine. Wanna know what kind it is.
Thanks.

Its mine. its a 99-04 mustang GT hood scoop. you have to drill about 6-8 holes for the bolts i cant remember then cut down the grill to the contour its pretty easy to do just time consuming to do it right

go to tirerack.com. you can browse by compatibility and view a representative image of each rim on a ranger.

yes those wheels where ment for only 4x4 Live axle trucks so there is no actual bearing hub protruding like on a 2wd truck. the inside of those caps have a metal ring inside that will keep the cap from going on all the way on a 2wd truck it just has to be cut down inside doesnt effect the cap. and no you dont do anything to the wheel.

my truck was 2wd and it had 2" front leveling kit the 3rd gen rangers where very low in the front. and those are 32x11.5x15 tires.

also no you dont have torsion bar suspension

ok i see with the wheels, they might be more dickin around than i thought. the wheels on the blue ranger are american racing outlaw II wheels. how do you think they lifted the front of that one up? using the tire guide on here, i think 30x9.5x15 tires will fit stock. to you think it would look dumb with no lift? would i bottom out at all?

thanks for the answers alot
