Best "MT" Tire
I'm having a hard time deciding between 3 tires when I finally get the cash to purchase them:
All would be 32x12.5x15 (if possible)
Cooper STT
BFG KM2
Wrangler Duratrac
Also these are mostly just for the beefy mud tire look with the occasional off-road use on weekends
If you have any of these tires, any info as far as noise, mpg decrease, tread wear, and ALL weather reliability will be greatly appreciated!

Re: Best "MT" Tire
duratracs aren't a full blown M/T tire, more like a hybrid between a/t and m/t....

I have Cooper ATRs right now, not too impressed.. But not terrible. Like I said, mostly want them for the MT look, but in an AT package. From what I'm reading the duratracs hold up better in snow than km2s?? I'm from Michigan, so snow can tend to be a problem lol

Re: Best "MT" Tire
i have duratracs and cant really complain i wont lie they are louder then my old bfg at's and i went from 31x10.5 to 33x12.5 so my mpg did go down....i went with the cheaper tires because i drive 60 miles a day to school and bfg at's were on back order....if u dont do much highway driving id go with the km2's.....ive only gotten stuck once and i wheel pretty frequently but like any thready tire if ur in shitty enough conditions the mud will just cake on and then its like driving with a freaking street tire.....and for the km2's im pretty sure u can only get 32x11.5....good luck with the purchase

Damn. I was hoping I could go wider without having to go taller too..
What size rim would you recommend? 15x8? maybe 15x10? I like the wider tire look over the taller that's why I was hoping to get 32s instead of 33s. Will the 15x10 be noticeably wider than the 15x8s?

Nice truck! I like the way the wheels stick outside the wheel well... Which is what I want
So a 15x8 rim with 32x11.5x15 is the way to go? I still haven't picked a tire yet! Or a rim for that matter haha
Are those DC1s??

Re: Best "MT" Tire
its all about what you prefer. the rims yes are DC-1s i have have a 3.75 back space for a lil hangout. I didnt want 33s but some do i like both but wanted 32s cause i dont like the stuffed look. Ive allways liked BFGs so natuarly i chose them. but the others are great tires too

Great looking trucks guys! How's the tread wear on those km2s? About how many miles do you get out of them before they need replacing?

Re: Best "MT" Tire
i absolutely love my cooper discoverer stt's. ive got like 30k on um maybe.. they are loud at low speeds and very high speeds.. but hot damn do they grab.. dirt mud snow ice.. it doesnt matter.. you get traction. just remember to rotate them.. ill need to replace them in the next year because im a big dummy.. and this may just be a fluke.. but I did get slightly better mpg by going to these bad boys from my old street/a/t tires.
