Lemans Pathmaker A/T

  • Size 265/75r16
  • Price $80-120 (mine came with my truck)
  • rating 6/10
  • reason: well its not an A/T tire in any way shape or form. They suck on wet roads, dry roads snowy roads etc. Mud was a joke in them and trails took there toll very quickly one tire now has a patch. Gave these to a buddy $100 for all 4 tires to put on a 93 ranger 4x4 and he has the same issues i did. Good news is they have 20000mi on them and look new still lol. if you are driving on the road they should be fine and they do very well stopping however goosing it in a corner i was whipping the ass of the truck everywhere as does my buddy with open 3.73s and a OHV 4.0L. Also for a 114 load rated tire the sidewall is soft as heck and i would NEVER max these tires out i got nervous with 1200LBS in my bed and they were sagging under the weight.

Firestone Destination MT.
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...w=1020&bih=563
size: 31x10.50x15
price: Approx. $170 per tire
rating: 9/10

Awsome tire. Got almost 65,000 on them throughout 3 vehicles. Wear great for an MT. Howl like a banshee (which I like). The rubber doesnt get chipped off and they dig like crazy

Mud Kings

size: 32x11.50x15
price: unknown/cheap
rating: 4/10

Crappiest tire ever! The rubber chips, no traction, and you hydroplane with almost NO water on the road. Never buy them again. Oh, and they wear like shit.

I'll vouch for Firestone MT's. A very rugged tire!

General Grabber AT2
Size: 265/75/R16E on my Ford Excursion
Price: $158 from Tirerack.
Rating: 9/10

This is a great tire. It has done everything I have needed it to do. They would great for snow traction. Being my Excursion is only 4x2 I needed something with great traction. Only draw back is that they are heavy, but most load range E tires are.

Treadwright Crawler M/T (formerly OTR)
Size: 31/10.50/R15
Price: $90
Rating: 9/10

I'll start with that it is a retread. There is nothing wrong with retreads, I have over 15,000 miles on mine and they still look like new! The traction is great. Mud, dirt, snow, rocks have been no match for them. I rated them a 9 only because they are a little loud on the highway.

it should be known that if you get the LT ones (E range is full size truck stuff) which would be standard for out trucks, they are only 2 ply meaning they have a weak sidewall. nothing against the tires, i almost got them, but after hearing about the 2 ply i steered a different dirrection, up in the hills where im from there is a lot of slate, you have to have solid tires to not get sliced open on that stuff.
