Default tires w/ lift

ive got the XLT that has 31" tires stock. ive been interested in lifting my truck. i originally wanted to lift it 3" and put 33" tires but i just bought new 31" tires. i was wondering how it would look if i kept the smaller tires and still lifted it. opinions and if any of you have pictures of the same situation that would be great.

I have 265/75/16 Tires if you have 31" tires on 15" rims may look kinda odd. As you can tell with the one before me. He has more gap then I do.

thread is circa 2011, but he has a body lift and probably a torsion bar crank.

Spindles in front, shackles in rear maybe....maybe 2-3" body lift....that'd be 4-5 inches maybe? Where's all the smarter ppl???!!!

No, XL and XLT 2wd rangers sit almost 3 inches lower than edge/4x4 models when they have a torsion bar crank (they have torsion bar suspension you have coil bucket). So to get the same amount of gap between the fenders and 31" tires you would need anywhere around 5-6" of lift. 3" spindle lift, 2.5" coil lift, 3" body lift, 1-3" coil spacer lift, any combination of these lifts for the front. For the rear you have an Add A Leaf, shackles, or lift blocks (and the body lift because it lifts the whole truck). Research each one, but I'll give you a little shortcut. XL/XLT rangers look great with 31's and just a spindle lift up front and shackles in the back. Its relatively cheap too.

Now go research
