Default 33x10 vs. 33x12

I see that 33x10 is generally the largest recommended tire for my truck, but the tires I'm looking at are 33x12. Will I notice the difference do you think? Is the x12 too big for an '01 XLT with cranked T-Bars?

I also noticed mention of trimming the valance, will this prevent the majority of the rubbing I'm likely to encounter with these or just help the tire fit while turning?

(EDIT TO ADD)
I just noticed another member posted asking about the x12 tires right before I did. Sorry about that. My question is slightly different though so I'm not going to delete it.

its too big for cranked tbars your gonna need a body lift.. However you can run them but you will more than likely run into alot of rubbing but if you dont plan to lift go with some 32x11.5 will look amazing either way

Thats kinda what I figured. Next size down for Duratrac is 31". That's about what I have now, just a bit bigger maybe. I'm not unhappy with that, just kinda hoping for something a little bigger.

Thanks!

LMAO, I guess I walked into that one didn't I.

A/T. Read some really good reviews of the duratrac tires and they look aggressive, so I was leaning that way.

I've got 33-12.5 s on my 04 with just cranked bars and no front valance and i don't rub at all for normal driving. the only time they rub is in the back if i flex the suspension alot

thats the key though is no valence..but with a body lift youll still be able to run the valence and little to no rubbing in the rear and itll look tits
