Default Wranglers not too bad in the snow

My 2010 Ranger XLT

First snow last nite , only a dusting to a couple of inches but the highway was really slippery . I was pretty impressed as the Wranglers held the road real good . A guy in a tundra spun out in front of me and I was able to maintain complete control @ 65 MPH .......

I came in this thread expecting the OP to own a brand new 4WD ranger, I was not disappointed.

They are working good now because they are brand new tires with full tread.

If those are the RT/S factory tires, you wont be impressed long. Those tires suck bad, especially on wet roads. Go get you a set of BFG A/Ts, and you will LOVE them.

LOL I was pulling out of the grocery store parking lot one day in the rain and I just barely got on it and I pulled a 180 right there in the middle of the road and almost got hit. 2 months later I bought some Nitto Terra Grapplers haha

I hear you guys as I have 15K on the truck . I know the tires are too light now as they stutter when driving . You can feel them bouncing . I would like to either put a set of at's on but I'll wait until the tread is gone first . Maybe swap out the rims as well . Just glad I was not all over the road like a light pick up spinning as I hear you Ranger101 .....

I mean, as long as you drive with some common sense you'll be fine with them. You just have to take caution when the roads are wet or there's snow.

I went from wrangler R/T's to Wrangler A/T's.... amazing how the same tire company and same brand (goodyear wrangler) could have such a crappy tire (R/T) to a great tire (A/T) I have had mine since 2005, put over 40,000 on them and mechanics all tell me the tread is barely worn.
