I have whatever brand they carried at auto zone. they are cables that you cinch down with some bungees. if you were closer I would hand mine over as i have no use for them anymore...

Type in snow cables.

These are basically what I am running but mine are heavier duty.

they are nice, you don't have to drive the truck on them they go around the tire.

Have you considered studded tires. I am running them for the first time this year and I am very impressed.

try the metric equivalent on your search. Most cables/chains fit multiple sizes. Mine had about 20 different sizes listed.

I too have studded winter tires on my 4x4. There are roads that are not passable even with a 4x4 with chains at all four corners.

well i dont really want to buy winter tires because so far it froze for about a week then a week or 2 of clear conditions then it snowed again.

ive been driving a 4x4 sport trac (4.0s are so much fun) and ive got 180 pounds of concrete bags in the back and i dont slide on the ice and i can get up our steep frozen driveway no problem.

tried to take the ranger up. got about half way with tire cables. f150 4x4 pulled me up backwards lol

so i returned the cables and bought some chains sorta like the ones mikeriders got. well see how they do when i get home from class tomorrow. hopefully its not melted!

----------

or should i say hopefully it is melted? lol

hopefully they work out well for you, Mine have yet to let me down. I managed to bury my truck in a snow bank last year trying to get to another stranded friend and ended up not being able to see my tires the snow was so deep. got the chains on, with 4 low I got to my buddy and pulled him out and got us both back on the road.

I have a set of SuperZlt truck cable chains. Had to practice putting them on, but have used them 3 times with no problems. they are made by SCC div of Burns Bros Inc., Don't know where to get, but Im sure you can find their web page, was lucky picked mine up at a local auction. You could also google cable chains.
