Default Which Wheels

Last week, I posted that i was gettinga laptop from the fiance. She just offered to buy me one one day...I was like, wow that engagement ring works wonders..LOL I guess she just wanted to buy me one...dk but i like!

Well i was browsing 4wheelparts.com, and came across a few wheels that i like/want. i texted them to her to show her what wheels i would like to get someday. well she texted me back and said that i have the choice of either Laptop of new wheels for the Ranger!!! I was like wow, this is hard (ive been wanting laptop)...but i think i have finally come to the decision to get wheels!

Also, im going from a 16"x7" to a 15x8" so that tires are cheaper, plus i like the look of a 15" wheel. I dont want a 10" bc i have no intentions of lifting it right now. The only problem is, once i get them im not putting them on until i need tires as mine now are the 16", when iI have them mounted, i will have some 32X10.50 BFGs put on them (or whatever equivilent of 265/70R16 is..My DD, need the MPG) I want aggressicve look, but still need good mpg

Im reallying leaning towards the new MT Classics II Satin Black (They're Limited Edition so may not be available next month. Id love some DSG Or polished Alcoas, but i dont think i can find mint ones for the same price i can get new aftermarkets. But here are my choices:

1) Mickey Thompson Classic II Satin Black

2) Mickey Thompson Classic II Polished

3) Pro Comp XTreme Alloy Black

4) Pro Comp XTreme Alloy Polished

5) Other: Post pic of suggestion!

ok i did i quick photochop on Aviary...

heres the truck with different the different styles:

W/ MT II Satin black So far my favorite:

w/ MT II Polished:

w/ black Pro Comp

Since you plan to get more aggressive tires down the road I would pick the MT II Polished

What are other exterior plans for the truck though? Need to keep in mind that cause then the satin black would look better if you go for a red/black theme

or you could be the first 06+ with dc-1's

i agree with stl. the MT II Polished would look bad a@@ed and would look the best with the agressive tires you want to upgrade to.

i like the MT II
but particularly the polished cause it goes great with the red paint on the truck and the chrome grille you have

how will the finish on these black ones hold up? (I dont want them chipping down the raod, dk if they are powdercoated or painted, i couldnt tell when i looked at them and held them at the tire shop i think some BFG AT KO would look BA mounted on the Satin Black ones! DC1 jsut cost too dang much! they're like $20 more a wheel! i can get the black Satic MT IIs for $498! and the polished MT IIs for $513 at local tire shop....so its a toss up of those two i think now

I think they are powder coated should say somewhere online what the finish is for them

Those polished ones will be a PITA to keep clean brake dust and if any road salt from winter

maintenance will be tough for the polished ones if you plan to keep them clean and in good shape but i would still go polished for sure and i like the MT design more too

I've always liked the black and red theme, but I would do some additional exterior mods beyond just the wheels if you go that route. At the bare minimum, get some dark tinted windows.

If you are going to keep your truck basically as-is, I would go for the polished wheels. Your truck looks clean now, polished wheels will add to that clean look.

If you do go with the satin wheels paint that tool box black

If you go with polished the tool box will be fine with them

If you keep the chrome grille go with the polished. If you change the grille to the black go with the satins.

How much do those wheels run? Those have a similar look to the Cragar Soft 8's, which are dirt cheap.
