You could run 33's on your 1999 easier then she can. Your 1999 would raise up higher with a t-bar crank then her 2011 will. 2008+ they put in smaller indexed keys. That is why the "pre key" mod is so popular with the newer trucks.

in my 03 when i had 33/12.50 they rubbed like a bitch with only a bl. i have 33/10.50 not and no rubbing and i can offroad with no rubbing

You should be able to get a set of 33x10.5s on your truck with out much issue, even with your truck being lower because its 08+

heres my old truck running that size tire stock





also like others have said a 32x11.5 should fit as well.

pretty much anyone should be able to do either of these operations with the basic tools and a floor jack....

I see a lot of talk about rubbing and issues as such, when running a stock offset wheel on just about all rangers you can get away with running a metric (PXXX/XXRXX) tire up to an 33. The important part would be to ensure that the width stays generally the same size. Also make sure you look up the actual measured height of the tire, some 33's actually measure to 33.6 and some measure 32.8 thats prolly the best way to ensure
