Default I put my 16" wheels and tires from my red Ranger onto my black Ranger

I put my 16" wheels and tires from my red 2004 Ranger with a 4.0 SOHC onto my black Ranger but I think I'm going to switch back because it seems like the 3.weak is really straining to turn these wheels and tires with the 3:55 rear end.
Does anyone else have these wheels and tires on a Ranger with a 3.0?

The wheels should not put any strain on on your truck. I have the same wheels and way bigger tires with no problems. it's a factory wheel regardless of engine size. I'm not sure understand what your describing is the problem?

overall size has changed your gear ratio, but shouldnt be that much difference.

The 3.0 would strain spinning lawn mower tires... it ain't the tires man, its all in your head.

yes it does indeed. My dad has a 2.9 5spd w/nearly 290k on the clock, and that truck will still wax my truck's ass all day long

I don't care what it is....it always catches everybody by surprise when I chirp them on the shift into second in the old beat up hooptie....it will spin them into second too, perhaps that's the reason its ticking

Yes, they are that bad ... lol
I would not have drove all the way to Clarkville, OH and bought another Ranger with a 4.0L if the 3.0L wasn't a gas hog and had decent power.
