Default Re: rims that fit on a ranger

I have a 2010 Ranger Sport and a set of TO 9012 Rims.

I'm sure the rims fit but what kind of winter tires fit on these rims that are best for a 2 RWD Ranger?

I just found a smokin deal on some newer Ford Explorer 17" wheels shod with 245/65/17 shoes ..

It lifted the truck more than 2.5" though; A remedy I will soon fix once I throw some lower profile stickier tires under it and replace the suspension and bushings under it with lowering kit & urethane upgrades.

Lower it? No! Slap a body lift under that thing and put beefier tires on it. It will look great

Damn, it is tough to figure out what I want to do. Stay with 15's and get beefier tires? Go up to 16's and get beefier tires? Maybe a lift kit? Should I just keep it stock? So many flavors and options.

Negative Sir.. A.) its only 2WD and I dont advocate being a poser, meaning its not really 4WD or off road capable realistically, at least not n the sense I would like to be if so. B.) thats been done to death as well as just laying frame to say you couldnt slide a DL under it.

I am after a new direction to change up or create a new beginning or perspective of the small truck scene. I've never been a very good follower, always a leader. I'm just starting over with a different platform and a new State full of new rules and new friends.

Wait until they get a load of me lol

BTW, I will be officially posting the Stocky 14" wheels up for grabs after work tonight along with the rear Slider.

Tires are good really for rolling chassis IMO, one has a small screw unfortunately in it, the other has a belt showing. Rims with or without tires $100 as I can easily net that just from scraping them locally, rear Slider $75. Willing to meet half way if need be...

Poser would be the wrong term to use considering you are driving a truck and not a car. But continue, I've seen some nice short rangers.

You will enjoy the use of this.. been a long time tool of mine forever

Wheel and Tire Calculator

You can compare all aspects of width, height, diameter, offset, clearances. Probably one of the most effective wheel calculators for the novice to easily be able to wrap their head around

Have at it my friend!

All Ranger outside USA have 6 bolt rims. So be aware if you buy special rims outside USA.

I don't know if I missed it by not reading through 8 pages of wheels, but can I fit a 15" rim on my 2011 Ranger Sport 4x4? It has 4 wheel discs, and came with 16s. Mud tires are cheaper in flotation sizes...
