Well had a blow out with my excursion last night on my pos nitto tires. Bent the rim on me. So I decided to go buy new rims and tires. Truck is a 2002 ford excursion 4x4 diesel. Bought some 18 inch fuel D504. Looking at geting the bfg mud terrain km2's. Size 305/60/r18.
Now for my driving habits. Interstate alot 65-90mph. Lttle bit of rough city, towing no more than 8,000 lbs under 65 mph, do have some fun in the mud, and I do go hunting alot and the nittos always got stuck.
My only concern is towing with these tires. I've heard from very few people that these tires are bad for big trucks and towing. But the thing is they make it in a load range e for trucks. I had load range d and they always looked flat.
Well I've talked to alot of people about this tire and rode in my buddys f350 SRW w/ bfg MT km2 and his truck rides better than mine did with AT's and he has 45000 miles on it. Has about 40% tread left. I think I'll be very happy withmy first set off mud tires.
