I don't have the truck anymore due to a need for better fuel economy. However for this same reason, I was disappointed with the 265/75s. They were obviously bigger so they looked good, but KILLED my fuel economy. After doing some research I found it wasn't just because if the diameter, but also the weight! As a matter of fact, the weight of the tire had the biggest effect. It had a high load rating for use on large trucks, but was too over kill, heavy, and a little rough riding for my small Ranger. I returned the tires to Discount after only a couple weeks and went a little different route. I bought some 15x8 aluminum wheels and some 31x10.50R15 BFG tires. The diameter was a little smaller, but the tires weighed MUCH less! My fuel economy came back to exactly what it was with the stock tires and it rode nice! I could not have been happier with the end result and was so happy I made the switch. If fuel economy is at all a concern, I'd suggest doing the same. The 31s were much less expensive than the 265/75s, so after getting my money back, and then selling my factory wheels, I had enough to buy the 15x8 aluminum wheels without having to take more money out of my pocket. 265/70s have a lower load rating and didn't weigh as much as the 265/75s so I'm sure that would have helped a lot too, but definitely never regretted the 31s. Just thought I'd share.

I want to ask a question, when you got the 75s, did you crank your Tbars or at stock hight, I have the 75s ready to go on I the next couple days and don't know if I should crank the Tbars before doing it, another thing is was there any rub at full lock, didn't get to try it before throwing the winters back on

Also another question,
Those who have the 265/75/16 did you recalibrate your speedometer and all? How much does this cost and what exactly is involved?

Use a tuner.

EDIT: I responded in more detail within your thread here: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/gener...-had-done.html
