Default tire and wheel noob...need info

hey guys. got a few questions about my tires and wheels etc

so im putting a 3in bl on it and am putting bigger tires on it and maybe smaller wheels my specs on my door say:

tire: P245/75R16SL
wheel: 16X7.0J

i dont know what the hell this means or if i even need all these numbers etc but i want to put either 33 or 34 tires and have them be a little wider of a tirer then mine now. I also want black rims and was thinking smaller as well. i want it to look like the attached picture. I think this is FX4Wannabe's photo so sorry if i jacked your photo. hope ur not mad lol

here are the wheels i want but dont know what specs to look for. these are listed as 16's but wanna find 15's or something like this design nothing expensive etc.

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...7284&rc=AZDINT

i guess im wondering if you guys can give me the specs for tires and rims that would fit with each other as well as fit on my truck. my truck is 5 lug if that helps. i think all rangers are but not sure. i plan on getting bigger fender flars so if the wheels stick out a little further then usual its ok i believe. any help would be great!!

thanks...

ok first all rangers are 5 lug with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern.

next P245/75R16
p=passenger tire
and 245x75 is the size in metric and R=radial and 16 is the wheel size.

now the 16x7 on the door that means you have 16" wheels and its 7" wide. all stock ranger wheels are 7" wide except a select few but usually no one ever has those.

now you are body lifting you want a 33x12.50x15 tire is your best all around size.

go with a 15x8 wheel with 3.25"-4" backspacing something in that range. or a 15x10 wheel if you want wide.

yup go with a 15" tire cuz there so many possibilities in tires with that size. but you could either go 32x11.5 or 33x12.5 both looks good and you can always go with a 15x8 wheel thats what most guys on here have i believe

that one says 6 lug but you can get it in a 5 lug. its just your basic Black Soft 8 steel wheel. here ya go:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3975812/

a GREAT 33" tire:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BFG-09681/

These tires I have but in a 31 and they last SOOO long and are great in all traction situations

I personally like Aluminum wheels better as they are ALOT lighter and very strong! only problem is, the aluminum wheels are about twice as much versus steel

My wheel & tire specs:

31x10.50R15 BF Goodrich A/T KO
15x8 Pacer 164 Polished aluminum, 5 x4.5 lug pattern (all rangers have this), -18mm offset, 3.75 BS

Here are the wheels and tire package above on my ride:

here are the above black wheels in a chrome finish on my old Ranger:

so here are the rims im getting most likely...if im not mistaken these will be an inch wider because these are 15x8 and mine are 16x7. and they will be smaller like i want. These have 4in backspacing. they have a 5x4.5 bolt pattern so they will fit no problem correct?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3975812/

is 15x8 better then 15x10 to find tires for and possibly fitting on truck? it seems like a more typical tire but thats not saying much from me.

you said get these tires "33x12.50x15" if i get the 15x8 wheels these will fit? im assuming the 15 on the tire corresponds to the 15 on the 15x8? i just dont know about the 12.50. i didnt no if that was the width or something

thanks for all your help. sorry if these r dumb questions lol
