I get you're opinion. But why? I don't know anything about them. Of course the website is going to try to market them well, but what's so bad about them? Enlighten me, please.

Hmm, yeah that could be a problem I guess. I'm going to do some more research on them and see about restrictions in the US.

ever see the tire peices from the big rigs on the road, those a retreads, if they blow theres another tire right beside it to keep the load, on a single tire setup itts asking for A LOT of trouble

they literally glue the tread onto the outside of the tire and it can fail and fly off

May be they make them better now, but, in the 70's while taking a friend to the airport it felt like a rear tire had gone flat. Pulled over, got out and everything looked ok. Resumed, got up to about 60 mph and felt like a flat tire again, rear end wagging. Did this one more time, then had my friend drive. Stuck my head out of the window and when we got to freeway speed I could see the recap coming off the tire a couple of inches then going off the other side about the same, when we slowed below 50 mph it centered again.

when youre going 85 and your front drivers side tire explodes and nearly sends you into a concrete divider, you'll know why

They still make retreads for cars and trucks but I wouldn't get them. One car I had came with tme. It wasn't long before the tread started to separate. IMHO, they are only good for low speed work like on airport ramps and such where vehicles don't leave the site.

Big rigs use them because of the cost savings but they also have other tires to carry the load. The damn things are dangerous though. Try having one of those things coming apart when you are right behind or beside the truck. It could get real ugly. They should be banned.

I would/ have run them as a offroad only tire, as stated above running them on the road at a higher speed and the blow apart so much for your truck.

before i got my new tires i was looking to get some retreaded tires and after tons or searching i found that many many people liked them. they said they lasted a long time and never came apart on them. this poll was on a jeep forum and there was 41 votes for great tires recommend a lot, and about 2 votes for bad tires. so i would say they are pretty good. just look around, google it and you should come up with some info, mabye not rangers with them but the tire is the tire, dont make a difference what truck its on. (no talkin big rig)
