Default retread tires

hey guys sill lookin around for some tires and i found a tire that doesnt have a brand and its also retreaded so i was wondering if it would be any good. will it last me a while. i dont drive thatmuch but i dont want to buy a pos tire. http://www.treadwright.com/shopnow/p...iliateid=10050

Retreads are fine, BUT the sidewall/origonal tire casing is very important. If you get recaps then you want name brand sidewalls & be sure to ask the casing date. You don't want them older than 3 or 4 years old.

i was looking around and then serchen to see what people had to say about the tires and i found this tire http://www.treadwright.com/shopnow/p...rd-dog-mt.aspx and there are tons of great comments on it and i also serched for retreaded tires and on another forum there was one that had a poll to do with the brand that retreads these tires and its almost unanimous that they are great tires even being retreaded. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f15/t...-poll-1079518/ i know its a jeep forum but thats where it happened to be so dont hate me

I can't believe I forgot about retread truck tires. Crap. I could have had a set of 265/70 R16 for 89.00 each!!

I would stay away from retreads but that is just me. The only people retreads pay off for are over the road trucks that put a LOT of miles on their vehicles and the tires are changed frequently.

For the average person, the tires are on a vehicle too long and the age of the side walls would be an issue.
