Default 265/75R15 on 2" Suspension Lifted 2wd XLT - Small?

I need new tires... Bad. Looking at getting Hercules Terra Trac A/T tires. My stock wheels are currently holding 225/70R15's but I'm installing 2" Shackle and 2" coil spacer for a bit of lift.

Are 265/75R15's going to look small? I looked at the tire specs and those will be 30.69" Total Diameter.

Also, I know there are threads that are sticky'd with the info on the back spacing, tire size, wheel size and such, and, as far as I can tell I should be good with the size, but I am:

1. Making sure that a 265/74R15 indeed will be okay on stock 7" deep 4.5" back spaced wheel.

2. Making sure that they will not be TOO small.

Thanks!

Well a 2" lift is the stock height for a 4wd and the stock tire size is 265/75 so it will look like a bone stock 4wd truck

This is my truck when it was stock with 265/75r16

Here it is with a 1" lift rear, stock front and 285/75r16s

The 265/75r16 is easier on the truck when I flex out I still rub in my rear fenderwells with a 2.5" lift and 285/75r16s.

That's a pic of what would be about 4-5" on your truck and 33x11.70s and I still rub but barely...

Nice! Thanks for the help guys! That gives me an idea of what I'm looking at.

Chris, I do very much like the look of the 4-5" lift with the 33's, but for the time being (as in this set of tires) I think i need to stick to the shackle and spacer lift with 265/75's so that I can take some time to budget and save for a spindle lift etc and do it all "right."

Eventually I'll get there, Patience on my part is going to be key!

Thanks again for the pics and for the info guys! This helped me out a lot.

No idea how the front of your truck lifts but for the rear I would just get shackles and a leaf enhancer to get around 4" in the back. (For your next set of tires)

Yeah? I might look into that.

I've been watching craigslist for some Explorer's to be parted out so I can go and get some leaf springs. I've heard that can give a good 2" of lift.

What Kind of Add-a-leaf did you get?

As for my front end, it's Coil Spring IFS so I think my options are the spacer that I'm getting for 2-3" and then actually upgrading the spindle and A-arms and such. I'm still researching.

Cool. Thanks. I'll take a look there too and see what I can find.

Has anyone had experience with Hercules Terra Tracs? I've heard they are great, but I've not ever used them.

As an update,

I've found an add a leaf set from a guy on craigslist for $20 bucks. We'll see what they look like and what kind of condition they are in. Sounds like he just wants to get rid of them... again, we'll see...

Yep. I'm getting the Add-a-leafs for sure. The guy I'm dealing with lifted a '85 Runner and it looks sweet. Check it out!

Man I dig those 80's body styles.

That I did. They are 2.5".

I'll try to get pics as I do the whole thing (Coil Spacers, Shackles, Add-a-leaf). I'm thinking it'll end up being November before I do. I want to squeeze at least that much more out of the current wheels.

Chris, do you happen to know what the centering bolt on the leaf springs is size wise? I know I'm going to need a bit longer one, and I'd prefer to have it before I start ;-)

Thanks!
