Default Can someone help me with these tires?

I am trying to find my husband some tires without him knowing. He really needs new tires. I dont know what size to get or anything. He has small tires on the front but he wants the same size tires in the front that he has on the back.
The back tires say:
Liberator AT
P225/70R14 98S M+S

Can someone please help me?

Ideally, you should have the same tire size and model in all four corners. This is especially important if it's a 4x4. Similar tread depth too. Confrim the stock tire size on the driver's side door label....should be 225/70-14.

The 225/70-14 is a common tire size for older Ford Rangers and Mazda B-series. However, they are not many tire brands in this size. That is the stock tire size for my 1996 Mazda B3000 4x2. Currently, I am using a set of four BFG All Terrain T/A KO (27x8.5x14) which is a close match to the 225/70-14....it appears that this size is no longer readily available from BFG. These are very pricey, but not that good in winter. Previously, I had the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S (225/70-14)...not very good IMO.

For the 225/70-14, due to the limited selection available, I would probably choose an all terrain truck tire like the Firestone Destination A/T. The Toyo Open Country A/T would likely be my 2nd choice (it's a few more $$$).

your lug pattern is a 5 on 4.5. And yeah you will want to get the 225/75R14; the 205s will be too small. They will fit as long as you get 14" ones, but the overall diameter of the tire will be too small and will not look right on the truck.

205/75-14 is about 1.12 percent smaller than 225/70-14 (Note: 2-3 percent is the rule of thumb for the max allowable). I use 205/75-14 for my winter tires since 225/70-14 are rare for winter tires....due to the 205's lower load capacity, I often boost up my tire pressure by a few psi.

98 = load capacity for most 225/70-14
95 = load capacity for most 205/75-14

If you tend to drive your truck with an empty bed, you are probably fine with the 205's. Otherwise, get the 225's.

Liberator's are Wal-Mart brand specific...........IMO, stick with the 225/70R14's, otherwise your speedo will read wrong.
