I looked on ebay and found the ford tpms sensors that is the same part number as the 07 08 09 10 ford ranger also where it mounts with the wheel band onto the wheel. I also found the wheel clamps and cradle set too. Heres the links to the ebay sites.

i would like to see someone try and reuse the factory strap, impossible when you try and put em back on youll be working for hours trying to line it up again, trust me been there done that with aftermarket wheels, ended up having to order new ones, they are as stated on the last page, 1 time deals (from factory) why do you think the new ford starp is a giant hose clamp? because the original is impossible to use. now with that out of the way with the light being on will not hurt anything, people put winter wheels on up here and dont put sensors in because its too costly. any tire shop can reset your sensors, in fact on a ford they usually reset themselves, no argument needed it says it right in the tpms manual that tells you every vehicle that has sensors, how to reset them, etc

New to the forum, and this issue is what actually brought me here. I just purchased a 2010 Ranger and am swapping the wheels. I will be selling the stock set. So are all Ranger's with the TPMS the same thru 2011? And in that case they are all the band style? I am a little confused because that seems to be what I'm reading, but when I search for replacements online I am also finding the valve stem transmitters.

im not sure about 2011 havnt seen any of those rangers yet, but the f150s and so fourth have the same set up as chevs with the sensors on the stems, look at your stem with the cap off, does it look wider then a normal stem? is the cap alot bigger (wider and taller)? if so you have sensors on the stem

The light annoys me a bit because I prefer when every light on the dash actually means something and every time I notice it I remember it's a dumb system made in response to tires exploding when people were too stupid to check there tire pressure. There is "NO CURE FOR STUPID" not even technology. I wouldn't mind it... actually I'd like it if they at least would let me read the tire pressure from each tire like the GM system does.

If I take apart the dash at all in the future the bulb for that indicator will disappear
I just deal with the light too, its annoying, but not that big of a deal, after a year, you get used to it. I'm for sure destroying that light if I ever decide to take my dash apart.

It would be great if someone knew what color wire to snip to make it disappear
