Default American Racing Wheels ???

Really desperate for an answer, so I'm posting this in "General Discussion" ....

Will these wheel dimensions fit my tires and P.C.D.?-
15X8
5X5.5

My ranger is a 2008 XL reg cab 4x2. I have brand new tires on the stock rims, and I want to put them on the new wheels.

THANKS!

Not sure why you think posting in the wrong section will help you, thread moved to the appropriate section.

Rangers are a 5x4.5 bolt pattern, so if you want to run those wheels you will need to get an adapter.

You'll need to figure out what size wheel is on your Ranger now to figure out if the tires will fit or not... I can't tell by the avatar but just look at the tire and it will say, if I had to guess you have 14" wheels.

They haven't put 14" rims on rangers in years. Would either be 16" or 15"

Being it is a base model ranger it will probably be 15"

I just measured from edge to edge on the front of the stock wheel and it read 16", so now I'm really confused. But from the secs I've read, it's 15"

You can't measure from edge to edge, the wheel lip that holds the tire in place doesn't count.

I just put these american racing wheels on, same dimensions, even the bolt pattern. You will need an adapter, and make sure that you measure the length of the lug to the mounting surface, and make sure that your new adapter is at least that think, with the new lugs protruding, or else it will be mounting to the old lugs as a surface, which is BAD!
The good news is the adapters make em stick out an extra inch, and it looks badass.

How much do these adapters run per wheel? I thought if I ordered the same bolt pattern I could avoid the adapter.. could it be that you just didn't get the lugs bolts and caps from american racing? got some pics?

Well on CL the guy was selling american racing rims off of a jeep wrangler, which has the 4.5 bolt battern, so i drove down to him to buy em, and he was running the adapters, because the wheels were 5 x 5.5's. i didnt care because the adapters were free to me, and the wheels fit, but if you are ordering, get the right bolt pattern the first time, its just lest to mess around with.

yea I know that, I thought you said that even with the same bolt pattern and lugs, that I would still need an adapter.

no, sorry, if you get a 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern, you will be fine, and then you have to take into account offset, backspacing, wheel width, etc.
