Just got a 2001 4x4 xlt. Noticed it seems like it's going slower than the speedometer indicates. Also realized the tires don't match. 2 - 275/70R16; 2 - 265/70R16.
Thoughts?
Running 2 different size tires on a 4x4 is NEVER GOOD!
What does your door sticker say?
Here is a site to put your tire size off the door sticker and the size tires you plan on running, it will give you your correct speed and what your speedo says.
NOTE:: All calculations "are" based on the assumption of a new tire (as opposed to used) where the numbers on the tire accurately represent the dimensions.
So also keep in mind tires like my DynaPro MT's with ridiculously oversized mud lugs are larger than the typical tire of same size..

What size are your DynaPro's? I'm assuming you bought them used?

Too bad "Size my Tires" doesn't know that some Rangers came stock with 14" tires.
AND..... 3 different sizes too
