Re: brake booster problem
The brake pedal isn't going to travel to the floor as a consequence of a failed PB booster. We know this to be correct not only because of what the function of the PB booster is and how it works, but because, on a sound and correctly operating brake system (<repeat), it this cab be proven by disconnecting vacuum from the PB unit, driving, and pressing the brake pedal down as hard and often as desired in the quest to push it to the floor. Brake fluid is a liquid, as such it is incompressible, booster or no booster; if the pedal is going to the floor you do not have a PB booster problem; you do however, have a hydraulic problem.
Edit: have you checked the brake fluid level and is so, what was it?
