Default Wheel Spacer Definite Answers Pls.

Hello all,

Still new here so please forgive me if I missed something obvious. I have searched and the threads I have read still leave some certainty to be desired.

I'm looking into getting wheel spacers. Thinking 1.25 - 2 inch, haven't decided yet. My concern is fit. From the research I have done it seems that stock ranger wheels are lug centric. (Is this factual). I am thinking that if the wheels are lug centric, than surely lug centric spacers would be appropriate and perfectly safe. Is this logic sound?

The reason I have uncertainty is that other research I have done suggests hub centric is the safer choice.

As a secondary question, does anyone know the hub bore for a 16x7 stock ranger wheel (from an 09 fx4 if that is helpful)? The sights I have been browsing have wheel spacer that seem to fit dozens of different vehicles... I worry its retailers just being lazy and would rather get a product I know 100% is an exact fit for a ranger.

Thanks in advance everyone!
