Default 265 width (10.4) on stock wheels?

Hi all, I've got a 2009 fx4 and I am wondering if a 265 wide tire will clear? undecided on the height, im all stock for now but seriously considering aal for the back and a slight torsion crank in the front.

With the backspacing on the stock 16x7 wheels, will a 265 be okay? Stock tires that came with the truck are 255.

Thanks for the help!

I have a 2010 with 265/75s. They work perfectly.

265/75R16 is about a 1/2" taller than the OEM 255/75R16.

Jroc,

Any issues with rubbing if you are fully turned or fully flexed on the suspension?

What tire you running? Im thinking of using the stock wheels for a while with the 265/75/16s.

Looking around at some local shops and considering nitto terra grappler in load D.

I love the BFG TA KO's but they seem to only have load e in this size.

Go with DuraTrac, they have a LRC in that size. IMO, much better tire in the snow, and you do get some snow there in Toronto.
I've got DuraTracs on the Ranger, RWD, and KO2s on my 150, 315/70/17, And without putting the 150 into 4X4, the Ranger outshines those KO2s any day. They are very slightly noisier though, but nothing obnoxious.
Just my 2 cents, and experience.

The noise doesn't bother me

I ordered duratracs last night actually! Local shop said they'd arrive April 22 and then I get an email saying they are ready less than 24 hours later haha.

Picked em up, they look sweet!. Hopefully will mount later this week.

Cool! I don't regret getting them. I plan to replace those KO2s on the 150 with DuraTracs when it's time. I've had them on there for a bit over a year now, less than 10K miles on them, so it might be awhile, who knows what might be out there then.
Did you get the LRC?
