Help me decide on wheels/tires
Hello!
New to the forum having just picked up a bone stock 2010 2wd XL.
I'd like to find a good wheel and tire package and want your suggestions.
I'd like something all terrain, and like the look of some of the classic American racing rims. Keeping the truck stock for now.
So, what's your input? Let me hear your suggestions, and thank you ahead of time.
----------
And budget of 1000!

Re: Help me decide on wheels/tires
I have a set of four chrome steel skin OEM rims that came off my 1997 Ranger Splash 2WD with a set of mounted Yokohama 235-60R-15 with a little more then half original tread left. Also have the original center caps to go with it. What is missing is those funky OEM lug nuts that the center cap needs to stay put. Pick those up anywhere.
I ran these in the summer only, running American steels with Blizzaks in the winter so no salt or rust. Nice wheels for their age. Been sitting high and dry in the storage room of my basement since the fall of 2004 and it is time to see them go.
I would be willing to let them go for a hell of a lot less then your budget. PM if interested. Ignore me if not.
Cheers.

Re: Help me decide on wheels/tires
Hey thanks man! Much appreciated.
I'm looking for some aftermarket rims however, and want to pick up some new tires along with them. Little treat to myself.
Just trying to figure what size/offset/etc would look best on the stock 2wd suspension.
I appreciate the offer though! Thanks again!

This is pretty much spot on what I was wanting. Is there an offset I should be looking for?
Really nice truck man. Thanks for the rec.

What year is your truck? 4x4? I ask because it looks damn near identical to mine (all except color) and I was thinking of upgrading from 16's to 15's next year, but just eyeballing I was worried 15's might be too small for my truck.

Re: Help me decide on wheels/tires
Is yours a 4 cylinder?
I ran 31x10.5 on my 2.3 for a while but you will lose a lot of power and braking. I would suggest something more like a 255/70r15 (General makes the grabber in this size) or a 235/75r15 (lots of choices)

Re: Help me decide on wheels/tires
I ran 30x9.5s with 15x8 and 3.75Bs when I was stock height and it fit great, zero rubbing and power/mpg didn't drop much, granted I had 4.10 Gears

Re: Help me decide on wheels/tires
Almost exactly like mine, but mines a year younger. Great. Without a 15" rim to mount, it looked like they would be too small on my truck but I guess not. Just can't get a good enough stance with 16x8's (at least not from what I've found online). I need something with less backspacing and I can't find any 16's with less than 4".

Re: Help me decide on wheels/tires
I like the full fender look. That's why I went with this setup. I wouldn't change a thing.
