Hi everyone, have a question, just bought four oem stock 7 spoke wheels (see pic) from a XLT. Now having sandblasted. My question is were the steel wheels originally painted by Ford and if so does anyone know how color or code. Thanks for everyone’s help.

I'd have them powdercoated, the shop should be able to help you with color.

If money is an issue, you can use the silver duplicolor wheel paint. Should come close enough, or do gray or something different if you want. I normally wouldn't recommend spray paint but the wheel paint is actually pretty decent.

As far as I know, there isn't really a code on the truck because all were the same color for a given model/year. Kind of a generic type thing. A paint supplier or body shop should have a code to mix it to match, though.

Just bought an 08 Ranger two weeks ago. The dealer repainted the wheels in a dark grey, almost browinsh grey colour. I think they did a great job and look really good.
