What mud terrain tires would be best!?
Have 4 15x8 Steel wheels for my 95 Ford Ranger 2.3. I'm looking at some General Grabbers 265x75xR15 right now, and wanna add some height to my truck as well without a lift kit for now. Any ideas? image-82889257.jpg

Are you talking about the Red Letters? They suck. Just about anything from General Tire is no good, stick with a BFG or Falken.

I loved my general grabber at2's. No issues there along with hundreds of other people who run them

X2 all I have heard from owners (friends in person) is that they are useless in rain and make terrible noise on the highway.

Well, it's a hit or miss with just about any tire you buy. Buddy of mine blew 2 sidewalls on his AT2's out in the desert, and I hated the wet traction on the set I had, but I've heard a lot of people on here who swear by them.
My Red Letters are junk. They're heavy and wear quick.

2wd or 4x4? If stick with all terrains unless you do serious off roading. Otherwise bfg km2's, Toyos, and nittos.

The big green blob has those, not too bad on the highway and they do well in the rain. We did have 16k trailer behind us though.

Yeah but they're pretty much drag slicks. Just a little gas in my 4 Banger in the rain and they'll spin for a mile. Dirt they're pretty good but not as good of traction as a KM2
They are VERY loud on the highway, so much you have to raise your voice a bit. Lol

Like others have said, there are better options out there then the red letters. Bfg KM2s are a very good MT. I know guys running Mickey Thompson baja claws and MTZs and they seem to be good options as well.
I love my Duratracs. While not a true mud terrain, they are very aggressive for an all terrain.
As far far "adding height without a lift", we need a little more info on your truck. If you're talking about the third gen 2wd in your other posts, then you go up to 2" coil spacers or lift coils before you need the drop brackets of a lift kit.
