As far far "adding height without a lift", we need a little more info on your truck. If you're talking about the third gen 2wd in your other posts, then you go up to 2" coil spacers or lift coils before you need the drop brackets of a lift kit.
I would call the duratrac an MT. Goodyear has the MT/Rs listed as an all terrain as well

I've always thought of them as a MT, but Goodyear listed them as an AT. I didn't know they listed the MT/Rs as an AT as well though. Maybe Goodyear just doesn't use the MT designation.

General does the same thing. The Red Lables are advertised as a dirt/off road tire and they have the AT2's. But they just released a Mud Terrain marked as an MT.

The truck is a standard and it's a 2 wheel drive. I just want some good mud tires cause I live where it always rains and I live in the country.

you don't need mud terrains for to and from, all terrains will be fine...

X2, an all terrain will probably be more than enough. However, if you want an MT, then more power to ya. A lot of guys run an MT simply because they like the look.

Try Mastercraft MXT's made by Cooper. Great MT and actually VERY quiet on the hwy. Less noise than my AT's

Got a set of 32x11.5x15 on my 94 Ranger. Love them!

Do they wear well on the ranger? The tire guy was telling me our trucks are too lights and so those MTs won't wear well. At least a 33x12.5 he said wouldnt.

If you chalk test it and set it at the right pressure you'll be fine

To light? Heavy trucks wear them out. Right air pressure and rotate every 3k they last forever. Every set of MTs I've ever had wear amazing.

Not that they wear out, but wear unevenly and kind of chunk up. But after I get them, I'll do a chalk line and get the right pressure.
