Default Now thinking of Radial Rover RVXT

Still have not replaced the Wrangler RT/S that came with the Ranger.
Almost ready to get the Radial Rover RVXT in 255-70-16. Read lots of reviews & they get high marks from all. I dont go off road ( on purpose ) but get lots of rain & snow here in the Pac NW. Mostly drive Freeway & open roads. Just a bit city. Wondering if there are any comments on these tires.

I had them on my explorer in a 32, they did pretty good in the ice and snow with a 2wd. I got some good mileage out of them, but the centers wore faster then the sides

Im gonna get the RVXT's 255-70-16 as soon as I sell some other stuff. Should be soon. For all that visited my original post, please check out the tread design on line. Id like some more comments from the Forum. I think it is a good cross between all season & all terrain. Again I tried to attach the link but could not do it. Id love to get some Dura Tracs if they came in a "P" size, not just a "Truck" size.

It seems to be a good tire, even got accepted as a winter tire in canada, wich is filled with anal people who think 4 season tires are not fit for winter in the city.

Quote:
* An all-terrain SUV/light truck tire designed to go anywhere - on-road, off-road, even in deep snow
* Rugged four-rib tread design delivers excellent on- and off-road performance, even in severe snow conditions
* Offers full tread contact for confident cornering and a precise, predictable steering response
* Aggressive appearance and enhanced all-terrain performance ensure the Rover RVXT will be the perfect fit for even the most demanding SUV and light truck
* The Advanced 5-Element Tread Design Technology delivers an exceptionally quiet ride for an all-terrain tire
* Deep circumferential grooves channel water away from the contact patch for confident control
* Also provides powerful M+S-rated traction and is RMA Mountain Snowflake Rated
* Extra-wide, high-density steel belts for full tread contact which ensures confident cornering and long treadwear
* Tread design extends down sidewall for protection from off-road sidewall scuffing
* Open shoulders with deep lateral grooves enhance snow-traction capabilities
lol at agressive appearance though, it looks like any regular tire. The 31" is on special at canadian tire right now at 156$/tire.

I used to have Radial Rover RT's. Best tire EVER in mud and snow. Tire Rack customer ratings were HUGE. The RVXT's are newer and just as good.

I read about 190 reviews on Tire Rack site. Seems all the problems were 5 or 6 years ago & on the larger trucks & SUV's that had the "c" load ratings. Not so much the "p" ratings. Stuff like out of round & balancing problems & wear issues. The posts from the last 1 to 3 years all say they are the Lt Truck's best kept secret. Folks Love them. So check them out, study the tread design, & keep your comments coming here.
