Default Front wheel stud extaction

Hey guys I got a 2004 ford ranger off road level 2 that has a bad front wheel stud. I need to extract it.
I have done so on the rear no problem but the front studs are a pain.
There seems to be some ring on the stud preventing me from hitting it out.

Anybody know how to get it out? Ill post a piciphone 2016 036.jpg

You ever replaced your wheel cylinder? Might be an option there, and start fresh

I thought about hitting it harder im just not sure if ill bust the whole thing or something. The other one was easy, so as thats my only experience it was weird that its really hard to get out. Im not taping it, they are good whacks.

I havent thought about replacing everything. Dont want to sink that much into the project.

So just hit harder or replace the whole thing i suppose.

If you can't remove the stud, you could always just replace the whole hub/bearing. Three bolts and the nut on the end of the cv. Gonna be more expensive though. I think they run about 130 bucks a hub.

Hahaha. Just hit it harder. The studs are more or less pressed into the hub flange. Get a good 20 oz hammer and give it a good solid hit.

^^^^^

Put 2 lugs back to back on the stud. Take a 2 pound hammer and just keep hitting the lugnuts reasonably hard. It will come off.
