Default Looking for 15 X 7 OEM Steel Wheels

Trucker Tim Here.
OK, your all going to thing I'm a bit krazy but this is what I want to do to my little red Ranger.
I would like to replace the factory custom wheels with a set of steel OEM black plan old rims with a set of retro full wheel covers from a 1985 F150. My current wheels will not accept a wheel cover. They are 15" X 7". I can't seem to find a stock steel wheel 7" wide. Found plenty that are 6' wide, not wanting to change the "footprint" I'd rather stay with the same size wheel.
Yes, I'm a crazy old trucker.
Trying to attach a shot of my #1 current wheel, #2 the ones I want and the #3 wheel covers.

That would look good on your Ranger! I see those rims pop up all the time on CL, And I'm sure if you can't find anything else, there are aftermarket rims that look like that at tire shops... Have fun hunting!

Went to e-bay and looked around. Also Craig's List.
I ended up looking at Summit Racing for wheels and we think they might have just what I need.
Thought about pulling the spare off the Ranger and doing some measuring. Crawled under the truck this morning, 14 degrees in the garage, I found out my extra rim and tire are 16". What The Heck?????
The shop is heated so I'll pull the rig inside and take a wheel off to do my measuring. What's one more project, right?

Hey Crew.
Well, my project is on hold for a while. Drove 170 mile round trip Wednesday thinking I found my wheels & wheel covers. Wrong. When I got to the vender that had the stuff it was, lets say a major disappointment. Not the "like new" quality told to me over the phone.
Now I'm thinking maybe I'll just paint my old wheels and "settle" for what I've got. At least their round and roll!
Disappointed but not beaten, Trucker Tim.

I think you should do it!

Summit probably has those steel wheels you want... if not, as mentioned, you should be able to find some locally on craigslist at some point. Would any generic 5x114.3 15x7 with the correct offset do the job for those wheel covers? That should be easy enough to find.

The ones from the eBay link I posted are from summit. Summit is the seller

Hey Garfield & Casey!
Summit does have the wheels. Lots of wheels will fit but I do think new ones will be the way to go.
The wheel covers are the problem. I'm trying to find some aftermarket new ones. Our C/L in the Midwest doesn't have any listed right now but I'll keep looking.
We want perfect and that's real hard to find. Guess I'm too picky?
On hold, not giving up by any means.
Anybody ever hear of Hubcap Mikes? He has replicas.
(gotta' get to work on my M37, new speedometer to install)
Later Folks!

Try to find these factory steel wheels. They for sure will accept wheel covers.

Just so happens, they are here on Ebay for $175. Free shipping too. However they are 15x6....

Hey Crew. Sorry I've been AWOL, been a long cold snowy winter. I ordered and received my new OEM 15 x 7" wheels from Summit Racing. Had them painted and the tires mounted. Ordered the wheelcovers from Hubcap Mike, received and installed. A "80's" look for my old Ranger! I am very satisfied with the retro look. Hope you all approve.

Hey Trucker Tim! Thats one of the coolest things I've seen on this forum by far! I've got a 89 F-250 with these caps and I have a soft spot for them.

Do you happen to have the part number or link to the steel wheels that you bought at Summit? How do they ride compared to the standard ranger wheels?

Thanks for sharing!
