Tires after superlift
So I finished up the superlift install this weekend. (4" of lift plus 1.5-2" of "lift" from the torsion bars) I have been lookin at tires on Craigslist for weeks now.
I'm torn between goin with 35s or 33s. I've found a set of each on CL, each on rims:
-35x12.5 R15 BFG km2:
On 15x8 ultra nomads with 3.75 backspacing
Only a few months, Guy says they have 90% tread
Guy wants $1,000 obo
-305/70/R16 Duratracs:
On 16x8 jeep rubicon wheels with 4.75" backspacing
Also only a few months old, guy says the have 85% tread.
Guy wants $1,000
If I went with the duratracs, I'd have to mount them on different wheels or run spacers. And it sounds like the guy thinks the rubicon rims are like gold. I could mount them on my current rims (16x7 with 4" back spacing) I'm also afraid that they aren't gonna be enough tire for the lift.
If I went with the km2s, they'd be bolt on and go. But, I'm worried about clearance in the front. I know guys run 35s with a bodylift, but I'm not sure how tight it would be with the superlift
Also, realistically, regearing wouldn't happen for while.
The truck is no longer my daily driver, but does get driven every weekend or so and sees quite a bit of trail time
So, what do you guys think? Opinions welcome, but I'd love to hear the thought process behind your opinion.

Given that - I would stick to 33's.
35's are no joke on these baby trucks.

Yea, it wouldn't be till the summer at the earliest.
That being said, with it being my second vehicle, that would be a few thousand miles

I think 33's would be perfect, it looks as though 35's would be a tight squeeze anyway

That seems to be the general consensus. Haha
I'm still kind of on the fence about it.
My biggest concern with the 35s is clearance in the front wheel wells. Closely followed by being under geared.

just get 33's for now, and save for a body lift, gears, and 35's, and get it all done at once (oh and a locker 😁
