Comforcer Tires? Any thoughts?
I'm looking for some new tires. My 6 year old DuraTracs, have been great, but they showing their age, and I think one has a belt separating.
So here's a little background on what my needs are. I'm don't really drive the truck very much anymore. Usually only on weekends, and not even every weekend. When I do drive it, I can't seam to resist a good mud hole or dirt road when I see one. I have miles and miles, and miles, of beaches to drive on down here. Oh, and did I mention I'm not rich. lol
So after shopping around locally I've found that the average price for a set of cheap MT's mounted and balanced is Around $800. I found a place In Houston That will sell me 4 of these comforcer mt tires for $580. Even after getting a shop to mount and balance them, I'll come out cheaper.
I know these are cheap chinese, tires but they look pretty solid. I'm going to give them a try. Just wonder if anyone else has heard of these tires before.

Haven't heard of them but they look directional. Not great for rotating purposes and the trick with cheap mud terrains is to rotate them often to help with uneven tread wear.
They might not be but hard to tell.

Not to worried about rotating. I'd be surprised if I put more than 5,000 miles a year on them.

Re: Comforcer Tires? Any thoughts?
It's definitely a nice looking tire. For my DD I'd buy something "better" but I think for your application it should be fine.
Not all Chinese tires are bad. To give you an idea, at work (I'm a semi trailer tech) we have been running a certain brand of Chinese tires on our trailers for years. They always wear well, never have had many complaints and they last quite a while.

Are they Durun tires? I had the tires replaced in my work truck. The company put re-caps on the back. 6 months later, one blew out. Luckily I was 10 miles from a tire shop. They put a new Durun tire on, and its been a great tire. It was also cheaper than the re-cap it replaced.

Well it looks like the company I was going to get the tires from is out of stock. Decided to go with the next cheapest route. Got some mud claws on order. At least their made by cooper, so I can trust them.
