Default How should one go about painting old wheels?

ok so i might buy some used steels wheels that are 15x8 instead of my 15x7 0 offset alcoas but they wont match my truck very well. is there any GOOD way to go about painting wheels and making them look good still? lots of clear coat?

and also, is there a limit to how little back spacing you should have? like can there be TOO much off set for a car? if so how much and why?

Thanks,
Pavel

Wet sand down the old wheels to get them as smooth as you can and make sure there is no rust remaining when you paint them. I did this to my Bronco's old wheels, missed a few small rust spots and it came up through the paint.

Duplicolor makes a good wheel paint, That is what I used and it worked pretty well.

I would recommend sandblast, etch primer, base/clear in your choice of color. But i would recommend powdercoat if you can

i sanded, washed with soap and sprayed, didnt mask it up or use the right sand paper and mine turned out great and its still great. Yes i tested on dirt roads too.
