Default Tire/Rim size question

Okay so, I know there's plenty of stickies about max tire size and what not but I'm not quite sure about this exact setup... I have tbars maxed and the wells have already been trimmed, the truck came with 285/75r16s and I beleive they were 16x9 or 16x8 dick cepeks, I did not scrub, I now have 32/11.50r15s on stock 15x7 rims, I'm going to buy a set of 15x8 -18mm offset pacer rims tomorrow, and have a chance to trade my 32s for some almost brand new 33x12.50r15 bfg KOs. I want to do this because they will last a lot longer than my wild country mxts will, but I'm scared I will scrub, and this is sort of a one time deal, can't go back. I also have 1/4" wheel spacers.

So my question I guess is, can I run 33/12.50r15 ATs on 15x8 -18mm offset (3.61") rims and 1/4" wheel spacers without scrubbing with what I currently have. I won't mind a little bit of scrubbing but I want to be able to turn, and if I can't run them with the 1/4" spacers, could I just take the spacers out and be okay?

Also it's a 3.0, the 285s and 16s were heavy as all get out and I felt they put a strain on my motor, but my motor had bad leaking injectors and a nasty vacuum leak at the time too, now it feels alright has more power now that I've fixed the injectors and most of the vacuum leak (I have another leak behind the dash that causes my motor to bog down when the AC engages) so do you think I'll be able to handle the 33s?

Thanks in advance!

You won't know until you get them on.

It isn't the weight of the wheels and tires that bogs the drivetrain down. It is the larger diameter making the gear ratio too high. The AC compressor takes power away from any engine, but is most notable on engines with less horsepower such as the 4 & 6 cylinders.

The tires you currently have are almost as wide as what you're getting.
So 1/2 inch closer to the frame. (32/11.5 - 33/12.5)

Then the rims you want (probably has 3.75 backspace) which is 3/4 inch further from the frame than stock. Plus 1/4 inch spacer.

So your tires don't rub with 4.25 backspace (stock rim + spacer)
You're adding 1 inch of space between the tire and frame, but the tire only increases slightly. Any rubbing sounds very minimal.

The forum creator Tom has 32x11.5 with only a 3 inch spindle and I'm more than positive his doesn't rub.

This is also true. It's partially the weight's fault too, but mostly the circumference of the tire that hurts it. Remember a 35 inch tire weighs almost 100 LBS with the rim on it. So just your rims and tires will weigh about 350 (rough guess)

The A/C is the worst, I never use it. On the 2.3L it kills the power and mileage.

If you lived here, you would use AC, and love it.
